At C Mauritius Palmar, sustainability isn’t just a commitment — it’s part of the experience. And what better time to bring that to life than during World Environment Week?
On 6 June 2025, the resort teamed up with Oxenham and Mission Verte to host a unique beach clean-up, right on the sparkling shores of Palmar. Guests, staff, and local volunteers gathered with a common goal: to take care of the coastline we love so much — and to have a little fun doing it.

Cleaning up with a difference
The morning started early. With gloves on and bin bags in hand, around 50 participants walked the beach — and beyond. To their surprise, the beach was in great condition. A good sign! But instead of stopping there, the group decided to go further, heading out along the coastal roads where more litter tends to collect.
By midday, they had collected over 90kg of waste, including 31.5kg of recyclable materials that were sorted on the spot thanks to Mission Verte’s guidance.

From trash to treasure
Once the cleaning was done, it was time to get creative. Using what they had gathered, participants teamed up to create a temporary artwork on the sand — a colourful, eye-catching installation that turned waste into a message.
This moment of creativity wasn’t just about fun (though there was plenty of that). It was a reminder of what’s possible when we think differently about what we throw away.

Sustainability, the C Mauritius way
This isn’t a one-off initiative. At C Mauritius Palmar, sustainability is woven into everything — from how we manage our resources to how we welcome our guests. Through experiences like this, we aim to connect people with nature in meaningful, memorable ways.
This initiative was about bringing people together around a shared cause. By combining action, creativity and education, we hope to spark lasting conversations about the way we interact with our environment.
