From 26 to 28 June 2026, C Mauritius will once again host the C Kite Festival, returning for its fifth and most spectacular edition yet.
Over the years, the C Kite Festival has become one of the most exciting kiteboarding festivals in Mauritius, bringing together world-class riders, music lovers, ocean enthusiasts and travellers looking for much more than a sporting event.
And this year promises to be bigger than ever.
Organised in collaboration with Antoine Auriol, professional kitesurfer and passionate ocean storyteller, the festival blends high-level kiteboarding with music, beach lifestyle and genuine human connection.
Unlike traditional competitions, the C Kite Festival is all about atmosphere. Here, professional riders share the water with passionate amateurs, sunset conversations turn into friendships, and every day unfolds with a unique sense of freedom and spontaneity.

Meet the Riders
The 2026 edition welcomes an exceptional line-up of international kiteboarding stars including Lorenzo Casati, Big Air World Champion and one of the sport’s most explosive riders, alongside Zara Hoogenraad, World Champion 2024 and rising female kiteboarding icon.
The festival will also feature Giel Vlugt, famous for his spectacular double loops, Hannah Whiteley, five-time British Champion, French rider Clément Huot, holder of the 2026 Big Air World Record, and Mauritian rider Louka Pitot, returning home to share his passion for the ocean.
Three Days of Wind, Music and Ocean Energy
The C Kite Festival begins the way every great island story should: barefoot, by the lagoon, with the sun slipping slowly behind the horizon and music floating through the warm evening air.
On Friday, C Mauritius sets the tone with sunset sessions, beachside aperitifs, live music and DJ sets, the kind of easy, golden-hour atmosphere where guests meet the riders, conversations start naturally, and the weekend begins to feel like a shared adventure.
By Saturday, the energy rises. The lagoon becomes a playground of colour and movement as riders take to the water, carving across the waves before setting off on the legendary Downwind from Palmar to Poste Lafayette. It is one of those moments that captures the full spirit of the festival: the power of the wind, the beauty of the coastline and the thrill of riding together.
Then, as night falls, the festival reveals one of its most magical surprises. For the first time in Mauritius, the Kite By Night show will light up the sky with illuminated kites dancing above the ocean. Music, movement and light come together under the stars, turning the beach into a spectacular open-air stage.
On Sunday, the atmosphere becomes playful and electric. Best Trick, Big Air and Fun Race competitions bring riders and guests together for one final burst of adrenaline, laughter and shared energy. And as the weekend closes by the ocean, the feeling remains: three days carried by the wind, shaped by the sea and remembered long after the last kite has left the sky.
